Do’s and Don’ts

Do:

• Know your collection schedule
• Know where your materials should be placed for collection
• Use a clearly marked bin OR cardboard boxes OR paper bags
• Put shredded paper inside of a paper bag to keep it contained
• Know what materials are recyclable (See Falling into Place)

Don’t:

• Please don’t put your bins out too late for collection – our collection trucks start bright and early and your items need to be at the curb by 7AM
• Please, please don’t use plastic bags! (they get stuck in the automated sorting equipment)
• Please don’t include materials that we cannot currently process (See Falling into Place)
